2D Resistivity Survey

Two Dimensional Resistivity Survey Delineated Water Seepage At Earthern Dam

Resistivity data were recorded using a “Swift-Sting” instrument along six profiles 310 to 720 feet long at three elevations across the dam face, down the dam face, and along the adjacent ridge where water seepage may be feeding an occasional spring.   Resultant resistivity sections clearly showed the dam’s clay core, dry bedrock abutment, and several saturated zones in the upper 45 feet.
